Driving Wheelsets
A 6'9" driving wheel pattern is in existence that was used to make 2 new driving wheels for LMS Jubilee 45699 'Galatea'. It is hoped that this pattern can be obtained from Tyseley Locomotive Works for use by the LMS Patriot Project.
Although different driving wheel patterns are believed to have been used by the LMS, the type used for the Jubilee Class would have been the same pattern used on the later Patriots and as such is the correct pattern for the Patriot new build.
