Frame Plates Cut at Corus - March 2009
| The birth of a new steam icon took place when the frame plates for the new 'Patriot' - 'The Unknown Warrior' were cut by Corus Steel at Cradley Heath in the West Midlands at the end of March 2009. The frame plates were taken to the Boro Foundry for drilling and machining, before being delivered to the Llangollen Railway Works where assembly is taking place. Thank you to everybody who has contributed to the Frames Appeal so far. If you are thinking about setting up a Standing Order to make a regular monthly contribution, we would be pleased to hear from you.
