The LMS Patriot New Build project will have its sales stall open on the platform throughout this event.

LMS Patriot New Build Project Member's Day, Llangollen Railway Station

The Project will have its sales stall open at Llangollen Railway Station throughout the day in addition to guided tours showing progress so far on TUW in the adjacent loco works. Directors and members heavily involved with the project will be on hand to answer questions etc.

Engineering Up-date March 2016

Locomotive Frame Assembly

Work continues on the construction of The Unknown Warrior at number of locations.

Following on from the fitting of the Bogie at Tyseley on 4th February, work has continued on preparations to fit the Valve and Cylinder Liners.

Galatea Locomotive Trust Fundraising Partnership

The LMS-Patriot Company, is pleased to announce a fundraising partnership with the Galatea Locomotive Trust, the original group which was set up over 20 years ago to restore of ex-Barry LMS ‘Jubilee’ 4-6-0, no 45699.

The new fundraising initiative has been formed to raise funds for the mainline equipment that is needed for ‘The Unknown Warrior’ to run on Network Rail metals – TPWS, OTMR and GSM-R equipment, costing around £60,000. In addition to this, funds for the acquisition and restoration of a mainline registered support coach are also being sought. Although ‘The Unknown Warrior’ will probably initially run with a hired support coach until there are sufficient funds to acquire its own.

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Model Railway Exhibition, Ingrow

The LMS Patriot Project will have their sales stall open throughout this event at Ingrow either in the station or in the Bahamas Exhibition Hall.
