First £Million Raised for ‘The Unknown Warrior’

The LMS-Patriot Company, the charitable project which is building a new steam memorial engine ‘The Unknown Warrior’ is delighted to announce that one million pounds has been raised since the Project was launched in April 2008. The announcement was made at the Project’s AGM on 15th November at Crewe Heritage Centre.

Great Central Railway Steam Enthusiast Weekend

The LMS Patriot New Build Project will have its sales stall at Loughborough Railway Station over this weekend.

LMS Patriot Company Ltd AGM

This will take place at the Main Exhibition Hall, Crewe Heritage Centre, Vernon Way, Crewe, CW1 2DB.

Alsager Model Railway Exhibition

The LMS Patriot Project sales stall will be at this model railway exhibition which is being held at the Victoria Centre, Oakley Building, West Street, Crewe, CW1 2PZ.

Illustrated Talk On the LMS Patriot New Build Group, Shepton Mallet

This talk will take place at East Somerset Society of Model & Experimental Engineers, Bath & West Show Ground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6QN

New Bogie Wheel Cast

Less than a month from making the decision to manufacture a new wheelset for the locomotives bogie, rather than wait any longer for the possibility of a set from an 8F in Turkey, the first Wheel Centre has been cast. 

The 3D CAD data was supplied to Premier Patterns by the project's CAD Designer, Kevin West and the pattern cut in a polyurethene foam.

The LMS Patriot Project Sales Stall will be on Minehead Railway Station on the above dates , but not on Thurs 2nd or Friday 3rd due to insufficient volunteers.
