Work is continuing on the installation of parts onto the locomotive chassis.
Recent work has seen the final fitting of the four brackets and mountings for the Main Reverser Shaft, the two brackets for the Inside Expansion Link and the single bracket for the Intermediate Reverser Shaft.
The foundation ring has now been riveted to the inner firebox at LNWR Heritage at Crewe. This is the final job that LNWR has undertaken on the new Patriot Boiler before it moves to a new contractor.
Contracts were signed with our new boiler contractor on 10th November, and further details will be announced soon.

The emphasis in January was on organising the transfer to Tyseley of our many components stored in containers at West Shed. A site meeting back at West Shed on 8th January inspected the contents and agreed a methodology for sorting and transferring components that cannot be simply transported in the containers without risk. An extended team of volunteers has been assembled for this special task. Our original plan to complete the move in late January had to be deferred to February because of temporary vehicular access restrictions at Tyseley (outside the control of TLW Ltd.).
