Following the decision by LNWR Heritage to end all sub-contract work, the workload for the engineering team has increased substantially. This has impacted in several areas, including the time that would normally have been spent compiling these engineering updates. I hope that the workload will reduce in the coming months so the frequency of the reports will become more frequent.
The LMS Patriot New Build Project will have its sales stall at Kidderminster Railway Station throughout this event, with the exception of Thursday the 21st due to insufficient volunteers being available.

Locomotive Frame Assembly
Work continues on the construction of The Unknown Warrior at number of locations.

Following the report in the last Warrior we have seen work re-started at Llangollen Railway Engineering, but not at the speed we had hoped. At least progress is being made.
We continue to work with Llangollen Engineering to establish a work schedule for the completion of the locomotive chassis.
The LMS-Patriot Project is staging an exhibition about Remembrance Engines, the VC recipients and the Railways at Crewe Heritage Centre. The 'Rails and Remembrance' exhibition opened at the beginning of September and runs until the end of 2018. A specially produced video tells the story of the role railways played during the Great War and how several Remembrance engines were built as a memorial to the employees of Railway Companies who gave their lives during the Great War. The exhibition brings the story to the present day with the creation of the new National Memorial Engine ’The Unknown Warrior’ which is being built to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice
