On behalf of all our team I wish you a very happy New Year. I am sure you share our hope for substantial project progress in 2023.  Here is the latest update on our project.

Engineering

The outside cylinders have been delivered back to West Shed following the modification and repair work at Cast Iron Welding Services. Machining is expected to start in January.

The engineering team held a Zoom meeting on 23rd December to agree plans for work in the immediate future.

Statfold Model Railway Event, Statfold Barn Railway, Tamworth

The LMS Patriot New Build Project sales stall will be open at this event throughout the weekend.

Stafford Railway Circle Model Railway Exhibition- Stafford County Showground

The project's sales stall will be open throughout this event. Show closes at 17.00 on Sat

Location, Stafford County Showground, Bingley Hall, ST18 0BD. On A518 Road to Uttoxeter

Adults £15. Accompanied kids free

Loughborough Model Railway Show

The Project's sales stall will be at this show throughout the weekend. Closes at 17.00 on Saturday.

Organised by the Soar Valley Model Railway Club and show located at Loughborough Grammer School, Burton Walks, Loughborough, LE11 2DU.

Adult £10, Child £5, Family £25

Buxton Model Railway Show

The society sales stall will be open throughout this event. Show open to 17.30 on Saturday

Location is Buxton Pavilion Gardens, St John's Road, Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 6BE.

Adults £9.00 After 15.00 £3.00. 2 accompanied children free with each adult.

Statfold Barn Spectacle of Steam, Near Tamworth

The Society sales stall will be open at this event throughout the day.

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Extravaganzer

The LMS - Patriot New Build Project will have its sales stall open at Keighley Railway Station throughout the four days of this event.

 

Great Central Railway Winter Gala, Loughborough Railway Station

The LMS Patriot New Build Project will have its sales stall open on Loughborough Railway Station throughout this event.

The Warrior Magazine

We expect to despatch The Warrior Issue 55 to you on Monday 5th  December. The magazine contains a full account of the proceedings of our Annual General Meeting, which was held on 12th November at Kidderminster Railway Museum.

Engineering

I will not repeat here the general engineering progress reported in The Warrior. However, since the Warrior went to press the repair work on the outside cylinders has now been completed, and all quality documentation required has been supplied, by Cast Iron Welding Services.
